defapped & New file loaded... issues

Post by iangt4 »

As the title say really, defapped, and loaded 2 different variations of the defap 180 file to my 2001 2.2HDi Multiplexed 406, but the engine management light keep's coming up and the multi function display says "anti-pollution system defective" any idea please ?

TIA

Does it clear / work OK when you put the original back in?

Suggest you send me a copy of your original ecu file & I'll convert that to defap, (std power only), for the time being.

If you're quick, I might get it done later tonight - (leaving for a long weekend in the morning).

Probably be glad of the distraction.

I think leaving the battery off all day has reset the ecu mate, took her for a good thrashing this morning and no messages :cheesy:

on some cars yeah, but normally you have to leave it disconnected for a while for the residual power to drain.

How are you disconnecting the battery? every time I disconnect my battery the alarm sets off and I CAN'T stop it. Takes a good 15 minutes (an eternity it seems like) of locking and unlocking the car to sort it!?

ummm i am guessing yours is sensing a voltage drop and activating the alarm, it should only do this if the car alarm is armed  providing the car is unlocked via the blip, then disconnecting the battery shouldn't result in the alarm sounding m8

Are there still no issues after a few days of running?

Out of curiosity, do you get any noise or vibration under hard acceleration at low revs in 4th or 5th gear?
