Doggy's Orft

Post by Doggy »

The dogmobile's weighed down with what feels like everything including two kitchen sinks and we, (Mrs Doggy, 2 cavaliers & my good self), are about to head south to explore Dorset & the New Forest. Not expecting wifi at our palatial accomodations so I may be gone for some time....

Back soon with tales of faultless pug reliability, amazing performance, incredible economy, glorious sunshine and a blissful break, (or maybe even the truth).

enjoy the new forest, i was there on them few days i was over in england in july lovely part of the world, they have horses and cattle just wandering all over the place, and as far as you can see there is just countryside (no such place in NI its all been ruined by housing estates and square grey houses)
When your there stop off at beaulieu the motor museum its a really good stop.

yup i was over for 3 days in essex, kent and is it hampshire (where winchester and the new forest is).
I prefer the contryside over there to what we have here, the preserved old villages where the houses have character, and how when your in the countryside there is nothing but big fields.

Thank you for all your good wishes etc. 8)

We had a great time & the weather was mostly OK, too.

Good journeys both ways, no car hassles, but I'd forgotten just how congested the South can get.

For example, we went to Weymouth / Portland yesterday - 40 miles each way, took a total of almost 4 hours. :o
Mile after mile of following farm machinery / mobile crane / geriatric vw camper on single carriageway roads at 20-30 mph and often less, but when you do get moving, there's nothing like a long uphill stretch of dual carriageway to sort the men from the boys. :D

Here's a couple of new 406 fans.

Beautiful part of the country Doggy, I'm glad you had a good time!
We're off home tomorrow :(
On the subject of Wi-Fi, if you can get an unlimited data plan on your mobile you can link it to your laptop to share the connection; it made our holiday possible, I've been working mornings over remote access; it's great! Saves having to buy a dedicated 3G dongle.
