Interior Tarting.... Slight Modifacation

Post by iangt4 »

Love the car, hated the Faux wood on the interior, so for the last couple of days ive been busy installing a kenwood headunit with ipod, bose sub & Faux Carbon sticky back plastic, i know its not to everyones taste, but i really hated the plastic wood with a passion, i'm not quite old enough yet to appreciate "Brown Furniture"

I've always been a bit apprensive about stick-on carbon fibre, but that really does look good! Tempting... :D

Looks really smart - just wonder if the centre bit round the MFD / head unit area is a tad too much? (after all it wasn't pretending to be wood)

Damn good job there!

That is very tidy indeed.
Adding the same effect to other parts has worked really well too.

How on earth does that stuff stick on? The corners are immaculate

I prefer to keep the walnut effect because that's as Peugeot intended. I'm not normally interested in modifications.
However, this really has got me thinking...

Current: 407 2.2 HDi 170 & C6 2.7 HDi.
Former: 406 1.9 TD; 406 HDi 90; 407 2.2 160; 307cc 180; 508 HDi 140.

Installed a parrot hand free kit today and added some "Interest" to the carbon sticky back plastic :) . The head unit & parrot wiring i must admit has been a PAIN IN THE ASS (amplified, multiplex'd jbl system) why they made the wiring so difficult on these cars i will never know

Nicely done with the executive and 406 stickers! What did you use? Did you cut them up yourself.

You could carbon cover also the speedo surround?
