I went on the Drag Strip and done 1/4 mile in 18secs 77.3mph which is very good for a HDi Diesel.
A m8 was in a Honda Civic 2.0 VTEC TypeR and done it in 15.4secs. So 2.6 secs behind aint bad.
He was in Group 6 (2000cc NA) and me in Group 7 (2000cc Turbo) lol me in same class as Scooby's.

The 4th result was not mine tho, dunno were they got that from.

18 secs isn't too bad you know, did you use the full revs or the torque/gears.
18 secs would be about the benchmark for a 2.0 petrol saloon like an A4 or similar I imagine.
The Hondas rarely get less than 15secs, seen them at the Pod many times.

I was changing gear at 4,500 revs and not redline at 5,000 revs, most power is gone by 4,500 so best to change up.

I read somewhere that maximum acceleration is acheived by going upto 4500 in each gear, but i must admit it doesn't FEEL like your getting the best acceleration because the torque is long gone, although Max BHP from the HDi is around 4500.

.....That must be the worst case of feminine itching I have ever seen, she should get some cream on that, she looks really worried about it.
And, a 'caption' contest is in order for this one........

Bit of luck I might add to 406 and buy a w'end play thing like a Scooby, Evo or Sierra Cosworth. ;)
Keep me 406 for everyday use, and 1 of them to thrash about lol.
