Never tried selling a car on ebay.

Bought bits on it and sold things. When I buy I seem to get ripped off and when I sell I seem to get ripped off.

its not really the best of value but it does save endless hours driving about looking for stuff in shops or scrapyards that mightnt even have the thing

Definitely handy for awkward bits, though last time I bought a door off it in the right colour, DHL proceeded to buckle and dent every corner and panel.

Does that wee TV pick up RTE? Can you plug a freeview box in?

True. There aren't enough shops selling old stuff.

I buy dreamcast / N64 games and bought a Mac Classic on it.

Cash Converters sometimes have something interesting, but there aren't enough old-gear shops.

When I was working in Wellingborough, I stumbled across an old game shop in the town centre. He had everything in there. Super Nintendo, N64 Dreamcast, Sega Megadrive & Master System. Hadn't seen some of the stuff he was selling since I was at school.

to tell you the truth the tv on it is crap, its black and white and smaller than a decent phone screen and its very hard to tune in unless connected to an aeriel which defeats the purpose of being portable, Why i like it so much is the radio, the best reception ive ever got on a radio you put 6 D batteries in it, it picks up a station and it will run for ages, the last one did 3 years on the same batteries, old radios like this were built properly (weighs an absolute tonne aswell) not like the crap you would get out of argos for £30

Charity shops and car boot sales have the occasional good stuff, but ebay is really very handy.

Gamestation used to be good, they were like that - SNES, Megadrive, Dreamcast etc. had ones in Glenrothes and Livingston (but none in NI).
Last time I was in Edinburgh the one on Princes St. it was just like a branch of Game (who bought them out) with the latest consoles and very little retro.

Farmerpug - Get the odd gem in charity shops and boot sales, but a lot of the time its old generic Pentium 1s theyre trying to sell for £50, ps1s for £30 and old Epson printers for £30.
