What Battery for my 406 HDI 110 ?

Hi There,

Anyone know what the battery rating for my car should be please? I need a new one as the old one gave up the ghost this afternoon.
Halfords are open till 8pm tonight so if I know what to get I can pop down there

Is that cold cranking amps good enough?

can't be sure, as it was a while back, but when I bought a new battery i'm sure the cca of mine was high 600's

could be wrong though

looked at a guide and that battery is ok
guess I just bought the highest CCA'd battery that would fit in the aperture

@Plod Thats what ihad on mine mate,
inever had a problem with it even thru the winter,

aspose halfords etc wouid know the Right type of battery you wouid need,
but they might shaft u with the price,

When I bought a new battery for my V6 I went into a local spares shop and bought the recommended Bosch. Unfortunately it wouldn't fit in the plastic battery box and I had to take it back for a refund. Just as well I bought locally rather than mail order. It replaced the original battery which was about 10 years old at this point so it had lasted very well yet it was a brand I had never heard of before and can't remember now
