Bosch Super 4 Spark Plugs

Post by PJ »

Anyone ever tried them.

Are they any good?? or is it just a sales pitch ? Bosch Super 4

Without going to the expense of iridium plugs, I was wondering if these were an improvement on the standard NGK or Champion.

What's your verdict?

Just done a bit more searching and came up with this answer:-

Q. Do my multi ground electrode plugs outperform single ground plugs?

A. In most cases, no. The additional electrodes disturb the flow of gases around the spark plug tip and performance may even be reduced. In addition, for high performance applications the additional metal within the combustion chamber will retain more heat and may be more prone to detonation/pre ignition.

It kinda looks like I'll have to make do with standard plugs or fork out the extra for iridium.

I only use NGK single-electrodes in my motors, nothing else.

Additional electrodes shield the charge from the spark; combustion is less spontaneous if not incomplete.
