Methanol content should be removed before putting into the car as far as I know about Bio. Many people on http://www.vegetableoildiesel.co.uk/forum are running HDi's on 100% Bio without problems.
You should really try get a sample of the bio diesel in a lucozade bottle or something and add a drop of water to it and shake it then leave it overnight. If it's cloudy the next morning the bio diesel is bad.
Seals can go at any time. What happens is, the Diesel makes the seals hard, the Veg makes the seals soft, and cos they were hard they prob have cracks in.
