Watch you don't put your back out doing it - those electric seats are bloody heavy. When you put it back in make sure that you do the front 2 bolts up before the back ones. The hole in the runners at the front is a circle, but the back ones are oval to allow for a little movement.

Thats a very good point, not actually looked at the air bag side. Had just assumed it was the same, plenty of sockets below both, although different colours! Got MOT on Saturday, so will ask that question whilst there. And going by the council regulations (private hire vehicle) they'd probably fail it on any lights already!
As for the light, had that light up when I disconnected all the wiring out prior to realising hadn't the correct size hex key. With that in mind, would a blank/short across the connection give the 'impression' of an airbag and remove the light?
Hmm, shall be asking some questions, if she passes test, no need to raise attention to anything unnecessarily!
waue1978 wrote:You could end up with a potential MOT fail there. The 99 models generally didn't have seat airbags & your 2002 would have them fitted. By fitting seats without the airbags you'll bring up a warning light on the dash which from January next year is supposedly going to be an MOT fail.

It's not just going to be airbags - engine management lights etc could all end up failing MOT tests.

I think in order to do that you need some kind of resistor doing bridge in the plug. and this resistor must be specific for that, like the right ohm and stuff .. or else you can end up frying the air bag ecu ..
