its not the tow bar there bothered about mate.

its the fact i will be towing a car on a transporter trailor.

i asked to up my policy to buisness but they said no . so im gonna change insurance companys in the new year when my policy is up and just dont tellthem and say its a personal use thing if i ever get stopped.

but i cant do that now with my own insurance cos she made it so clear that calls are recorded and my enquiry will be kept on record in case i do ever try to claim and im towing a car on a trailor... but the new insurance wont know that cos i wont tell them :supafrisk:

On a legal note, you shouldn't be towing something greater in weight than the towing vehicle

So the weight of the trailer and car being towed on it, should be less than the car used to tow

thats a very good point Plod, often overlooked or ignored,

thats why i have just bought another disco :cheesy:

technically i can tow just about anything now, it worked out better to buy another disco than to have a bar fitted to the C5, once i factored in the cost of the fitting by citroen and then the additional fuel and consumables i would use up on the C5, it was a no brainer so i am fully prepared for my next trip over to blighty to pick up my toy from Dai, just a trailer to find now, but i think it would be better to buy one in the uk save me driving over with an empty trailer on the back.

so if anybody sees any going for a good price let me know, it only needs to carry about a tonne so doesnt have to be a biggy.

sorry for the hijack Gaz
