Flip key anyone tryed ?

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Flip key anyone tryed ?

Post by RayneR »

Did anyone tryed to swap the pre multiplex fob key into a flip key found on the full multiplex and on ebay there is also some cases with blade.

ps: I found on ebay a convertion case, but all of the cases i saw all have two buttons, my key has only one button ...will those still fit my internals ?

i had a 2 button one id say avoid them them ebay ones flex when you turn the key, and stick too far out of the barrel so your knee can hit it which isnt good for the barrel or your knee either.

That's curious because i thought the newer/full multiplex 406's had them from factory like the 307.

So those ones have that problem ?

ps: why here all the remotes i see is only one button :|, here the same button locks and unlocks the car .. i guess we are different in every single aspect :|

ps 2 : would a 2 button key work with car ? ( with my transponder key programmed in this one )

I searched and this two button remote key is for deadlocking, i suspect that this would work with my car, i think i saw something like that on pp2000 when i was playing with it ...

Hi RayneR

That's too bad.

I knew there are at least 2 fob types but I am not aware of the year when they changed.

Hope you get one sorted.
