Hi All,
Fantastically, the caption did not appear during the MOT today so I now have a year to get to the bottom of the fault. What are the common reasons? Is it generally the reluctor rings or sensors?
Any pointers or suggestion welcome...
Kind regards,
Ed

Re: "ABS FAULT"
hi mate,
1st thing to check are the relucter rings,
slight crack throws up the abs light,
also sensors, but its guess work to work out which one, Code reader needed to work out which one,
other thing check the connectors under the wheel arch liner for ingress/corrosion /bad connection,
if theres aslight crack in the relucter ring you can fill the gap with something like Jb weld, (Chemical metal)

Re: "ABS FAULT"
cheers matey, are the reluctor rings a bugger to get to? I have read a post about changing them (sounds like a ballache) but simply looking at them...what is that like?

They live on the end of the driveshaft, Hub end,
they have teeth on, what send a signal to the sensor, (Magnetic -pickup)

Hi
You may find the attached picture of some use

It would probably be a lot easier to change the CV joint
