hi guys!got a big problem with ma coupe (12/2001 -hdi 2.2 turbo diesel) since a bit of time whenever i accelerate and hit above 2000-2500 the car starts blowing LOADs of grey and at the end black smoke out.. after hitting it a bit more normaly im back in limp mode around 3000.. (anti polution error)
the car been defap and dekat but it has never been so much black smoke before like now.. the turbo works full on power and fine or is it gona blow soon?
any ideas i see a huge impact on my wallet comin
anyways i think ure quite right the fact i didnt mention was i changed my ecu and as i red on the egr valve now after refitting it has to be adapted to the ecu (i guess programmed?)
as i just programmed the ecu with the radio that might actually b the problem?

just blank off the EGR with a piece of metal plate cut to shape with 2 holes drilled. Did it to my 2.2 HDi, no issues, better throttle response, no black smoke, and no more of my engine breathing its own emissions now.

hi every1 i blanked of my egr .. still load of smoke.. should i clean the egr than =? (if so anyone done that on 2.2. hdi==?)
anyways black smoke is less now its more white smoke now.. still a lot! (especially on kickdown - ive manual).. but still a lot of smoke n still after 2500/3000 anti polution fault - > limp ... !==!= any1 an idea ? im really getting close to sell it
well at the end its always dark dark black smoke especially over 3000... whats that test n ure sure i get some closure abut the problem?
at the end i really dont know what could be wrong ? egr is blocked (at least 99%) defap no cat.. the car is remapped n been driving well till now.. under 3000 its actually fine and doesnt hit the limp mode.. just gets off a lot of smoke

i just discovered a loose cable!!!! does anybody know where it should be connected to?
its from the diesel filter(?!) down see red marked 1 .. that cable is loose.. and the whole engine down there black full of liquid .. and 2 nothing connected?
i fixed the problem / or actually my dealer with fixing the turbo pipe.. its been leakin .. now there is no more black smoke no more limp mode n full power horraaaaayy ;) and wasnt even that expensive. thanks to all!
