Obtaining Security Codes/Immobiliser codes etc
Having been through all the paperwork that came with the car, I only have a radio code! The last proper dealer that supplied the car used in 2003 has long since gone under, who can I contact to obtain those codes, assuming they are still on record? Only reason I ask is that I am concerned that should the battery go flat (and it is a tad sluggish to start already) or I disconnect it, probably to connect an amp, is that I will be unable to start it without the code to use on the keypad, it is currently set to arm with the remote instead.

You can do it your self,
if you buy a Dongle,
you can Download the software off the net,
it gives you the option, to either disable it or read code /reset etc,
ive got the software but no Dongle, dont know where you get them from,

Here
http://x-electronic.com/ProductDetail.a ... tID=100106
everywhere else is charging for the software,
scroll down the page on the link, and you will see a download link,
you will need Win~rar to unzip the software,
once youve opend the software click on it to test, it will just come up with No-Dongle, but it will still load so you can see its functions,
ithink the Dongles are on ebay ishouidnt think theyd be too expensive,
worth a look,

Re: Obtaining Security Codes/Immobiliser codes etc
Looks like I will to find a dongle as the guy on the peugeot forums couldn't find the immo code, just the radio and mechanical key code. Did suggest this though, sounds like a last resort to me:
every one out there with this fault it can be sorted out in a couple of hours trust me i did it today the keypad immoboliser stops the fuel getting in to the car so all u have to do is bypass keypad at fuel pump (fuel stop solinoid to be exact) step 1 remove the casing covering solonoid with angle grinder (its the only way)unscrew solinoid after cutting the wire at the top only cut the one that goes to the top of solinoid but leave plenty of room for conneting up later then remove spring from the inside.
step 2 find the positive side of solinoid and mark it refit solinoid with out spring wire the posotive terminal to an ignition wire found in secondary fuse box (by battery) and the other treminal to negative terminal to battery
step 3 start car and enjoy

Haven't done that yet! I work for a VX dealer and they very rarely have security codes for any vehicle the age of mine, kind of assumed it would be the same for a peugeot dealer. Will find my local one and try that!

I believe the dealers charge £30 plus vat to release codes, the last time I needed a code I told the dealer I was trade and that they had me on record in the trade club... they gave me the code FOC over the phone.
You could always use one of those tools that plugs into the lighter/12 unit, they only have a 9v battery in them to keep the system energised.

Re: Obtaining Security Codes/Immobiliser codes etc
Well I had a reply from the dealer this morning and as I guessed, they don't keep them on record. They said it could maybe be 1111 or 0000 and it may be worth contacting the previous owner (found his address in the paperwork) as it would probably have been changed. So going back to Lozz's post about that software, what kind of dongle should I be looking for? And Jasper5, what kind of tool is that? You mean to keep the system charged while the battery is out? I have still got the old keytag that was attached to the keys when I bought it and thats got 1111 on it too, just seems too obvious a code to use I think.

1111 is the service code....what people like me would use when the car is in for service so that we know the code without having to ring the customer.
Yes, the tool I mentioned is for keeping the system energised whilst the battery is disconnected.
