Hi,
Just been driving on the motoway, and noticed the car is a little shaky over 60, any ideas ?
(can feel it through the accel pedal as well, it is not massive just noticable over long distances)
Bye the way, i have just had the rear spring replaced and wheels and tracking done, can people make a list of the possibles as the car is going to the local mechanic for a service soon.
Many Thanks,
Andy

I get a vibration/shaking through the pedals when the car rises over a crest in the road at speed, The rear engine mount is knackered/separated and I am 100% sure the rear engine mount is to blame.

First guess would be wheel balancing, even though it's already been done sometimes it's not quite right and little imbalances can be amplified at speed. If it's just through the wheel it's front wheels, if it's through the whole car it's rear wheels. Next to check is CV joints, if there's play in them they can cause vibrations. Then engine mounts and subframe to body mounts.
Re: Shaking
Sometimes balancing the wheels might result in unbalancing the wheel/axle/disc system on the vehicle.
