My keyfob appears to do sod all when the buttons are pressed.
I have checked the battery and its at 2.9v so should be fine but can only unlock with key in driver door.

Switch the ignition on again.
Immediately press button A.
Switch off the ignition and
remove the remote control key

Cheers - I've tried that but no joy, - not sure whether the fob is actually working at all.
Is there any way to test it to see if it is transmitting a signal?

Re: Remote central locking fob not working
Difficult. I don't know of any way to test it.
I lost the use of mine after disconnecting the battery, eventually got it back by re-synching the key(s) using PP2000, but to do this you need someone with the diagnotic kit and the 4-digit PIN code you should have got on a credit-card type piece of plastic with the car.
I had the advantage of knowing it had worked previously and I have a PP2000 system. Don't honestly know what to recommend, as I wouldn't like you to go to loads of trouble trying the above, when your key might well be faulty.
Ideas, anyone?

Re: Remote central locking fob not working
A bit of an update on this one.
I took apart the key fob and it looks like it may have been damp at some stage.
After a clean and removing the battery it now works intermittantly so at least it is programmed
to the car.
I've ordered 2 micro switches and a replacement key case from ebay in order to repair it.
Will keep you updated.
