Rear electric windows gremlin...

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Rear electric windows gremlin...

Post by dukey406 »

Another one before bedtime....again!
The rear electric windows on my 406 estate only work from the switches on the drivers door.
When operated from the switches on the rear doors, nothing happens.
I've noticed an extra switch that seems to have a sort of cross symbol just below the driver door swiches,
I've pressed this but it doesn't seem to do anything....

Any ideas - I must be my round soon ;)
If it aint broke - dont fix it!.....

The time i took my switch block apart i didn't put it back together right and the rear window turn off switch was stuck in the off mode, i had to take the switch apart and set it correctly into the wee runners, but there is also copper contacts which may need cleaning. Though if you do take the switch block apart do it over a table bits can come out, and like to go everywhere.
