Key Fob query

Post by leestudd30 »

Haven't got my manual to hand so thought I'd ask. I've 2 got 2 keyfobs, one of them lights up when you press the buttons but I've noticed the light is red and its quite tempermental at locking and unlocking. So my questions are, does the battery need replacing, how do I get the fob open to change it and will I need to follow the reset procedure from the manual (?) to get it to work again. Cheers

The light is supposed to be red.
The battery may or may not need replacing. They're not expensive so why not if it's being temperamental?
You won't need a reset procedure after changing a battery

Ah, sorry, I thought the light would be green and red meant it was running low! I do want to change the battery as that keyfob has a working deadlock button compared to my other one! How do I change it?

oops missed that bit  Just ease the key apart starting from the keyring loop where you'll find a section provided to allow you to do this. I use a small flat screwdriver
