Bought my 406 yesterday!

Post by Mrs406 »

It's my third Pug and my newest yet!
I've just purchased a 2litre Peugeot 406 LX Family (in blue).
Speaking to my brother last night he said his next car would have to be a V6 or V8, It soon shut him up that my new car is a V6!
Have got the keys with me now, log book, MOT certificates etc - Need to get some tax then go back next week and pick her up ;)

Very happy to be here again ;)

I'm probably asking for trouble here, but are you sure about the full details of your new car?

The V6s are 3.0, & I don't think I've ever seen one in LX spec.

Could it be a 3.0 V6 GLX per chance?

Welcome in Mrs406

If it was a V6 then you'd have to be MrsMoneybags to put petrol in it :cheesy:

406s are brilliant cars (I'm biassed) and I hope it lives up to your expectations. What made you choose a 406?

Current: 407 2.2 HDi 170 & C6 2.7 HDi.
Former: 406 1.9 TD; 406 HDi 90; 407 2.2 160; 307cc 180; 508 HDi 140.

My other cars have been Peugeot 205's - only sold because I had 3 children already and then got pregnant with twins :(
My Husband had some 405 estates before and I drove them thinking they were really nice!
I needed a 7 seater (5 children now!) and with the 806's we had I couldn't lean over easily to clip the kids in, and the 406's are rear facing and access is a lot better, plus have always fancied the 406's ;)

Believe it or not, they're also more comfortable from a passenger's point of view too. I was unfortunate enough to be in the rearmost row in a Zafira on the way home from Northampton the other week & I had to sit sideways to avoid my knees being pushed up next to my ears. The only bad thing about the 406 seats is that you are facing the wrong way, but there is definitely more legroom.

Was still better than sitting next to my "Team Manager" though...
