Yes, you definitely can. And if you're not careful, the entire top of your head will fall off because your grin will be so wide it meets in the middle at the back of your head :cheesy:

nothin at all wrong with it mate apart from a few clunks. usuall links .. says on advisory from april all links / tie bar/rod all have play

i've just had enough of malling with old cars and spending money on them that doesnt need spending.

as long as it gets me and my family from a to b i dont car anymore :mrgreen: (must be my age hitting 28 now)
Ithink drop links are Typical for failing on any car, not matter how old the car is, :(

004 Offside rear tie bar/rod has slight play in a ball joint

005 Nearside rear tie bar/rod has slight play in a pin/bush

ball joint and pin bush ? are these the toplinks then ?

The second sounds like the horizontal link, whereas the first one could be either

All ican say if its top links, They must be Well and truely shagged or the mot tester wouidnt of picked up on them,
or either that hes used his brains and tested them with the Weight of the car on the ground :mrgreen:

ibet theres 1000s of 406s on the road with SHagged toplinks :roll:

ye lozz it sounds like something is truely fked lol

its clunking bad from back end ... think i will change both toplink and droplink on the rear . only cost £20 for all 4

the front isnt to bad really but gonna get droplinks then all the links are done on all 4 corners ....

ive just put new droplinks on the citreon again :(
1st set one failed after amonth, cheap ebay shite :roll:

just got some Qh ones, £8 each hopefully they wont fall to bits
got to replace both track rod ends too, everything seems to go one after the other on this car :?

im only putting ebay ones on.. for £30 i can replace the whole lot both sets on rear and droplinks on front... bargain..

never had any problems with ebay ones yet me... probebly cos i avoid pot holes. im forever swerving round them :cheesy:

Weve got speed humps all over up here so, they dont last on anycar we have,
the last ebay set igot where for the 406 ended up giving the buyer afew sets as iknew they where failing again,
he still rang back after 3 weeks moaning saying they where expensive to have fitted

Both rear wheels on the 406 have a lot of play...
will ask jasper to check it out for me on saturday...
