My 1996 Peugeot 406 saloon 1.9 turbo diesel is for sale. It's the L trim, which includes front electric windows, and electric sunroof. It has NO Air-con, or central locking.
The bodywork is well for it's age, usual scratches for year, it has rust on both rear wheel arches, noticable dent in front bonnet, and slight dent in drivers door, otherwise a tidy car.
(The car has 3 months Tax, and 11 Months Mot.It has just been serviced by my Mechanic friend ,and prepared by him for the Last Mot.)
On average only 7000 miles driven per year since i bought the car in January 2007, and has been serviced every year.
I bought it in January 2007, and i can honestly say it's the best car i've owned so far.Totally reliable, the engine is well tried and tested, and virtually bulletproof!.
Over this time, the car has had a new cam-belt (January 2007)new exhaust, front discs and pads, rear brake shoes, front suspension rods, anti- roll bar, rear suspension bushes, track rod ends, and other various items.
The Car drives very well, and the ride is very smooth, much better than my previous Mondeo.
On Average the Mpg i was getting was approx 38 - 40, and this was on local and moderate road runs.
As i've mentioned before there is some rust on both rear wheel arches, and also the radio does not work (although i have radio code - still not working). The passenger door lock, spins in the barrel, and the driver seat fabric is badly damaged (Wear and tear - See Attached Photos.)Plus the front seats could do with a Shampoo to clean them up!.
In the sale i'm including a Haynes 406 Manual, An OSF Window regulator, and a drivers window switch.
(Picture of Car) The mileage for this car is currently 193355, which is quite high, but for a peugeot car this age, is quite the norm.
I'm wanting a quick sale, so i'm offering the car for £325 ono.
I'm located in Washington Tyne and Wear, anyone interested in the car, please PM me or call me on 07877 900471 after (9pm).
I'm selling this car as i've just purchased a nearly new Peugeot 308 HDI , which is a smaller car, but more economical, and cheaper road tax too!.
(Picture of new Car) Many Thanks
