Car Batterys. Insulation,

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

How much is a decent battery from halfords anyway, seeing as they are just up the road from me. I've found one online from performance batteries which is £50 with a cold cranking rating of 550.

My works can do a 510 rated battery at staff rates for £25, will that do the job? I went through service box and it also says next to Battery under the electrical section Battery L2 300, any idea what this means?

ihad the battery checked its in good health, strange realy as its the original battery citreon fitted its almost 12years old,
the chap who tested the battery for us Says the Starters lazy get afresh one and Bin the one thats on,

so ive orderd one, £78 not too bad a spose,
started the car this morning but ipressed the clutch in whilst ifired it over and it fired up ok
if idont press the clutch in it seems to start slower, perhaps starter is sticking
I always dip the clutch when starting from cold as with the clutch engaged your turning that over the gearbox aswell with all that cold thick oil.
