Crumball Rally July 2007 Do u want to take part?

Post by GeordieBoy »

The Crumball Rally Co presents “The Italian Job”, a budget car rally taking place over a long weekend in July 2007, and very loosely based on the classic 1969 crime caper. Taking in France, Switzerland and Italy in 3 days, we'll be visiting several of the key film settings including the incredible St. Bernard pass and the city of Turin, before heading onto Monte Carlo and Nice for the Finish.

But it’s not just about driving…….you will also need a sense of fun to take part in the daily challenges en route, and be a bit of risk taker since you and your team have to do all this in a car ideally costing no more than £200.

Are you up for it…of course you are If so then “get your skates on mate” and come and join us for a trip you just might remember.

Me and a m8 are on the reserve list to enter 2 teams, I have received an e-mail saying they are going to extend the entrants to inc the reserve list. Instead of entering 2 teams as planned we are only entering the 1. So that means if someone with a team (upto 5 ppl) want to enter then LMK, I will need the money £125 by Tues 12 Dec as thats when I'm gonna be paying ours. You will not gain entry by applying yourself, we have 2 teams accepted but only using the 1, so going thru me is the only way you will get in.

Costs £125 entry, gonna need at least 3 nites hotel stay at about £20-£30 per nite each. (prob need another 2 nites on way home aswell). About £132 (between 4) return ferry crossing. Gonna need enough petrol to be doing about 3,000 miles (if you wish to drive the car home rather than scrapping it in Nice and flying home). Food/beers etc. £400+ each I recon based on 4 sharing all costs. Not forgetting car insurance. http://www.dayinsure.com £50.40 to insure 2 ppl for a week inc european cover.

We are also doing the Barcelona Bangers Rally in Sept 07, similar as above car must be less than £200. They is 1 place left in the Barcelona Rally if you wish to take part. Just enter via the website.
