Remap takes these upto 125-130bhp!

Hasen't had an oil change in 20k as my Uncles either been abroad or trapsed back and for Wales when hes home.
But before that it was changed every 12k/12month.

So first port of call in the next few months is get a good service done on it, migh even get the belts done too.

Then I may look into a 110 intecooler, panel filter and decat.
Then I may have it remapped. Happy to have a 406 at the minuite though :)

are u sure it takes it upto 125-130 ?
i think theres a lot of confusion with remap powers.
a 90 hdi will go to about 110 not more
and a 110 to about 130

thats going off searches that do the remaps for you. not off what people say on forums ...

MrWhippy takes the HDi90 to 125bhp.
Rica take it to 115bhp.

Most remaps tend to be around that figure.

A 306 HDi with an Intercooler can be remapped straight to 150bhp but the clutch slips unless the torque is limited.

but, without tinkering, it is faster than a plain XUD?
I'd like to see power and torque curves for the two side-by-side (I can't find ones for the XUD).

Is it legal to remove the cat?
IIRC if one is fitted then it has to be "type approved" (i.e., unnecessarily expensive).
But must one be fitted (for cars registered after 1st March 2001)?

Nice one Bailes!

Looks like a nice example, at least it was your uncles so you know a bit of history about it! Not like buying off dodgy gumtreers :(

They suit that colour. Other half's dad has a 407 in the same colour, looks great especially when polished!

But that was a Ford.

After 3 years they live on borrowed time.
