Well it wouldn't be a 406 without a few leccy niggles!

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Drivers side window switch kinda does what it wants. You try to put the window up and it will go all the way down first, and then back up
The window can be full closed and you press the switch for the window to go up, and it will go down
Any ideas on this one?

Also the rear N/S window dosen't work at all, not sure where to start looking for that one.

Cheers, Bailes.

on the drivers side try putting the window up all the way and hold it like that until it starts clicking this can reset it
on the rear is it just one side not working or both ? as it could be the child lock switch if its both
have you tried the switch on the door and the switch on the drivers control?
if not best take the door card off and check to see if you have power.

Turns out both issues were to do with the drivers side switch console. Replaced it with a second hand one and both problems sorted :)

Similar problem here the near side front wont do nothing, i took both switches out and even the near side door card... looked at it, scratched my head and put it back on. :? ....on the plus side with this weather and the child lock i have total control of the windows.
