Re: Electric window problem ....
Ok steve that is the meter i have , i,ve got the black lead in the bottom socket com
and the red in the socket in the middle , which ohms measurment should i switch it to .
By the way it doesn't beep when i switch it to diode and touch probes . The rest i think i
understand , do i take it the numbers correspond to the numbers on the wires .

That's a shame, my Fluke and the meter at the garage do so I thought it was standard.By the way it doesn't beep when i switch it to diode and touch probes
Yep, if your eyes are as bad as mine don't forget your specs. The rest i think i
understand , do i take it the numbers correspond to the numbers on the wires .

There appear to be some confusing technical terms in this thread, so permit me to express these in laymans terms:
puggy wrote:Last week was driving along with front passenger window part way down (kerb crawling), when i tried
to close it it didn't move so thought i would need to look at it when i got home (scarperred before I got rumbled).

Re: Electric window problem ....
I think it's more likely to be the limit switch insde the wiper motor that determines where it parks.
Cheers for the sig, puggy.

Edit: Gah
The relay is inside your BSI...
Failure to park always used to be an earth or switching problem.

Re: Electric window problem ....
Right steve and doggy , i've got the drivers side window not working and now the wipers ,
front and back not parking correctly , until this happened i used to hear the relay clicking
when the wipers operated now nothing , could these problems be related ??

I wonder if you've got a damp patch under your carpet (oo-er) seriously - those multi-plugs under the drivers carpet, worth a looky.
