Fag Lighter Perm Live ?

fixed my fag lighter in my new d8 tonight. it wouldnt charge a tom tom .... got replacement from my spares car and it worked normal agian
anyway when i removed key the green led on the tomtom charger stayed lit and was still charging

i thought fag lighter sockets were switched live ?

is any1 elses permanent live ?

Mine was permanent live on my 2002 Rapier but it's switched live on my 2003 Exec,god knows why it's different.

Mines didn't work at all on my D8... seems my D9 dosen't work either

Mine's permanent on my 98 2.1... anyone know which fuse I move, and to where, to make it switched?

If memory serves fuse 1 is the 'cigar' lighter, should be easy to spot as it's the only one with 2 positions.

Looks like it's fuse 1, the radio also has two positions and that's fuse 16.
