Firstly hello, as this is my first post. I have towed my 1100kg caravan for 4 years using my old 99 plate 1.9td xsara, lovely car and didn't tow to bad good on fuel but with only a small boot, two growing kids and a sheep dog it was way to small, so a 406 2.0hdi estate 110 came up local before christmas so decided to go for it.
It has the od gremlin i need to sort out but fair play it drives lovely, yesterday we got back from a 90 mile round trip towing the caravan for the first time, i found myself hitting 70mph on numorous occasions with plenty more under my right foot to play with (nothing to be proud of with the speed limit at 55mph for towing)

the ride was great, lovely and comfy with hardly any movement (sideways) from the van... a lot less bare knuckle than my old car and for the first time ever i can say i hardly noticed the van was there = a very happy camper indeed.
Like others have said though your car should do the job nicely.
