Just googled them, look bloody cool! I always wanted a set when I was younger, remember seeing the bigger ones mounted to fairground rides! I think they are still going though, there is a website:

Depends where they bought them from mate,

all irember is, they where Mainly sold at tandys, Wharfdale was the killer of them,
as they made smaller speakers that couid handle more power,

the jamos where agood speaker but not many had the room for em,
things like the Wharfdale modus cubes where Tandys best seller then

feck that makes me feel old thinking back,

I remember the biggest ones used to be the D365 ones, think they had a 15" woofer! Are some awesome ones on their website, found the R909 model on Google:

Looks like old skool speakers are making a comeback,

just popped in one of them Cash G places , normaly you couid pick up speakers from them for under £50 for decent ones,
spotted a pair of B&w speakers, used to have some and there good so thaught id ask how much,

£280
They where 10 years old and most probs theyve been cained,
noticed the old seprates have come back on the shelves too,

2 years ago all this stuff was obsolete/ to some people it was carboot tackle (junk)

I picked up an awesome pair of Tannoy floorstanders from ebay for about £50 because they're less lethal to a baby than a pair of bookshelf speakers precariously balanced on the fireplace with cables dangling down the side... They were 'quite good' when driving them with a cheapie "Tangent" amp (cheapest Richer Sounds sold), but when I upgraded to my Onkyo AV receiver, WOW  can turn your innards to mush if you crank it

looks like a very decent setup that john.

pioneer tv = best tv's on the market fact .

i was once into the AV side having a yamaha av package it was really good. had bluray on it. blu ray is a must for a good av setup.

i dont have the av setup anymore . im getting into the hi fi side now.

the jamos have gone now they were just to bloody big for the house.

now have a pair of old "wharfedale valdus 500" and in the process of buying a new stereo amp and its turning out to be a bit of a pain
