Anyone know what is up with this? I've took battery off then connected and car started, but the light has come back on now. I dont wanna have to piss about taking battery off all the time to start it.

I guess no 1 knows what this problem could be then? ....
.... Well it appeared to be a fault within the ECU and poss needed a Main Dealer to sort out, so I called the RAC out. He had a look around, and the ignition barrell appeared loose, so he took of the plastic surround and to find it was loose and the plastic transmitter receiver around the barrell was loose aswell. He just took it off and put it back on and it started ok. It appears that the chip in the key was not getting a signal to the receiver. So infact what looked like a dealer only job, ended up just being a wiggle key in ignition barrel until immobiliser goes out and it will start ok. He said it was the 1st time he had seen that fault on a 406, other peugeot makes and Fords that is a common problem he says.
