Little help with fuses please....

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Little help with fuses please....

Post by 20079738 »

Hi, I am in the middle of trying to get a v6 engine running in my garage it's from a 1998 or 2000 406 v6 coupe it's non multiplexed so no BSI unit. I would be very grateful if someone would be kind enough to look at their fuse covers or owners manuals and tell me what the interior 1-36 and exterior 1-15 fuses are?

Not sure how similar they are with different engines so here are some pics:

Cheers

Haynes reckons F15 in the Engine Fusebox is RH Main Beam.

There's nothing listed beyond F30 for the Passenger Fusebox.

This is for the D8 saloon so the Coupe could be slightly different, though from your description it's also a D8?

It's more likely to be a 1998 D8 if there's no BSI. The passenger fuse panel only goes up to 30, the last 6 are spares (edit: thought so :cheesy: ) I have some diagrams but they're in French and they don't seem to tally with what you have there, however I'll post them if no-one comes up with anything better.

Type in" fuse box diagram"into the search box thankfully Lozz has made a list of fuses I would post a link but dont know how to do it  ps dont take them as gospel as the fuse boxes are a bit of a grey area in these cars :)Sorry Steve you posted as I was looking at my haynes diagram which strangely enough doesnt correspond to my D8 fusebox :x

Not to worry, you posted while I was wondering if I could be bothered to translate the Fench but I decided not to bother in the end as they don't look 100% the same.

More mud colour than grey - fuse diagrams never seem to be accurate, least of all the gibberish that can be found in Haynes...
