Dreaded drivers door seal...

Post by Bailes1992 »

Got pulled today...

Long story short, can't go into too much detail on here but my car had a marker on it.

So going to Maccy D's for lunch with the boys from college and I see a police car with ANPR. As soon as I passed they pulled off and followed us to the Maccy D's carpark.

Anyway they were nice enough and was obviously just pulling us cause of what the computer said.

Anywho one police officer jumped in my car and was aksing the details of the boys in the car.
Cheeky twat picked up my floppy door seal and went (in Jest) "This cars falling apart"

Anywho they did their checks, were nice enough and let us have our dinner.

But it's something else that obviously needs sorting on my car

The whole bottom edge of mine now lives under my drivers seat.
Was asking Dai if I could put a little silicone sealent behind it to adhere it better along with the clips but he said it would block things up :(

My car has a marker on it. This has now been removed. The car is out of the catchment area for the marker that was on it, this is why it flagged up on ANPR.
They are only doing what the compyter says afterall. It only took 5 minutes.

Id ask why the Marker had not been removed,
if your the new owner, change of Details on the log book shouid tell them
the vehicle is no longer tied to who ever had the police flag it in the past,

ive had a few motors with markers on in the past,
never had a stop in them once i put my details on the V5,

theyre a set of %$&?

What is this 'marker'? I've never heard of it.

Is there a computer that tells them where to find him, or might effort be involved?

In all fairness, if they knew that Mr Smackhead was a suspect and what car he was driving, they could put a marker on it, then if it passes them, pull him.

I've some door seal clips I obviously no longer need if you need them.

Get it sorted though before the bottoms of your doors start rusting like mine did!!!!

It's annoying Lozz that crime happens and the peelers seem to spend their resources on things like scameras.

I had stuff stolen about a year and a half ago, and I know they'll never catch who did it.

However, I would like to think that if the car was stolen, they could put a marker on it and flag it down. Or if they had the reg from a car seen/stolen at a burglary, similarly it would be flagged.

Very true mate,

aspose crime will get worser soon, Now that the Goverment is trying to recover its Gazillion £s worth of debt very quickly,

police are as much use as ahandbrake on a canoe,
the plastic coppers do abetter job and there unpaid,

the car thing gets me , if theres a marker on it why dont they go knock on the owners door if theres a problem
