Breaking 98 'S' Peugeot 406 1.9TD Estate

Post by a4gom »

I have a 1998 Peugeot 406 1.9TD Estate in dark metallic green which I am breaking for spares before I weigh in whats left. The car had either a cam belt or tensioner failure which has broken the cam. As far as I know the rest of the engine is fine, the car was a fantastic runner before hand and did me proud. The car has done about 135k, it's about 5k into a new clutch, a couple of hundred miles into new front pads, I got a warning for trackrod ends at the last MOT and they were both changed. It has a nokia hands free kit fitted, roof rack, continental winter tyres, Tow bar. It's not concourse but in general good nick all round.

Everything is available, I'm happy to remove and post or deliver subject to time / value but I'm not going to spend hours removing something for a couple of quid. The car is parked on my mothers drive so I don't have access to engine lifts, ramps etc (feel free to call over and remove yourself if it's going to take a while or in a tricky place).

If you want something which would make it unmovable you'll have to give me a couple of weeks to get rid of everything else and get it on the trailer first.

If anyone is interested, wants more info, pics etc just give me a shout.

Car is in Oakworth, BD22.

Cheers

Removed the tow bar yesterday complete with all bolts. I have the tow ball and should be able to sort out a single electrics with turn buzzer but I'm not sure if I have the mounting plate for the electrics I had it mounted to one which goes with my bike rack. iIll have a dig around.
You local? Not sure what postage would be.

Roof rack is not peugeot, fits any car with roof rails.

Nokia hands free works vis bluetooth so work with any nokia, presumably with any make but i've only used it with nokia's. I think it's a ck-7w.

Oakworth is in West Yorkshire type BD22 into google maps.

Oakworth, West Yorkshire. I say the colour is Gray not blue. Could try and get some pics later. The seat is fine but the plastic trim where the seat belt comes out of the seat has snapped. It might still be in the car but I can't promise.
Best be quick as it's going to the breakers as soon as I'm able to pick my trailer up.
