Insurance is insane!

Post by Bailes1992 »

As I have been cleared to drive company vehicles I phoned my insurance up.
When I took the policy out they asked me if I had access to any other cars, back then it was No.

Today I changed it to Yes, Regularly. Got £300 back

Lucky sod 8)

Mostprobs they will see you as less risk, on your policy..
as youve declared driving a works vehicle, on a differnt policy ,perhaps.

i Might be wrong tho,

Does make a difference as they would hope it makes you a more careful and considerate driver as you drive a company car/vehcile....

Did think I bumped the rear arch of a LWB transit but couldn't work out where. But when I looked at the paperwork for it, it was already there  PHEW!

It does seem weird, it might go along the lines of "whilst your driving the works van you're not driving around in our insured risk".

Or it might be that you're getting more experience. You can't drive around in a works van like a lunatic (unless you're a Courier) as you will loose your job. Thing is that might make you drive your own car like a lunatic, letting your hair down etc. :?

Either way the Forum rules state that your unexpected windfall must be shared amongst the Moderators, send me the £300.00 and I'll "make sure" the others get their share

I have use of a company van and as such my insurance on my cars is for social, domestic and pleasure only and not commuting, i use the van to commute to and from work so that is why my premium is cheaper. :)
