hi guys wonder if someone can help just had cambelt fitted on a 2.0hdi engine 2 days later car broke down garage is saying a follower snapped and is nothing they have done wrong hasnt damaged valves but can this just happen or are they pulling the wool over my eyes ?

Follower? Do you mean the rockers on the top?
If so I'd say the engines jumped a tooth. These engines in the event of a timing belt failure are designed to snap the rockers.
They have also been known to snap randomly but I say the garage f*cked up personally if it is the follower you are on about.
