Me wrote: Went out to block off the vacuum from my swirl EV as I assumed that was the issue, but I noticed the vac outlet from the plastic container under the brake master cylinder has snapped off!
So none of my vacuum systems will be running. Which explains.... everything.
So has anyone got a working one lying around? or know if a standard 406 90/110bhp will have the same container?
Any advice on how to get it off would be nice too as it looks a pain in the **** to me..
Thanks!

Re: WTD: HDI Vacuum Container
They're not expensive from the dealers, can't remember exactly, but I'm fairly sure it was under a tenner.
I'll check servicepox if I get a chance this evening.

Rang Peugeot and they didnt havea clue what I was talking about, so good thing you posted that part number! Ordered for bang on £19.20. Guy on the phone kept trying to tell me they never sold one and thats not the problem even though I said I can see the vacuum hose literally hanging loose with a bit of plastic from the box wedged into it. weird. least i'll have it by weekend!
cheers again eric

Re: WTD: HDI Vacuum Container
Brought, installed, sorted!
Anyone coming across this -
Best way to replace is:
The plastic box is on a small metal bracket, this is held on by two nuts and should be visible by looking between the top of the plastic box and bottom of the brake fluid resovior.
There is no need to touch the brake system, just undo the two bolts (above the box) and disconnect any vacuum hoses from under the plastic box and try to wriggle it out.
The metal mount is attached to the box with a plastic push clip pin thing, remove this by poking the center of the pin upwards. Re-fit mount to new plastic box and re-install to car.... job done, no more engine light, plenty of power, moving swirl arm
and better brakes!
Sorry this is a crap write-up. Feel free to PM if you have the same issue and need any info/etc.
