mP3 Head unit to replace cassette player

Post by Strak »

Firstly just like to say thanks. Posted my first topic earlier and got a very fast resopnse and am well on my way to owning a nice pair of powerflow twin exhausts for my new 406.

My next drama is fitting a new head unit. I've just bought an iPod compatible head unit and am scratching my head as to whether or not i will actually be able to use it to replace the standard phillips cassette player( :frown: ). I have bought a head unit fascia to go with it but from different online shops and haven't even seen them yet.

Does anyone think I'll have problems fitting the very expensive head unit? (hope not!)

cheers- STRAK

No problem at all Strack, I bought a facia adapter from Halfords manufactured by Autoleads and it fitted straight in. Don't bother buying an ISO adapter lead, the standard Pug wiring is already ISO you just might have to swap the red and yellow wires over in the stereo loom like I had to with my Pioneer. If you still want to use the steering wheel stalk you can buy an adapter, Halfords can get you one from the Autoleads range.
