Driving 2 years tommorow!

Post by Bailes1992 »

Just dawned on me now. I passed my test on 5th March 2010!

Where the hell does time go? :|

Feels like yesterday I sat my test!

2 Years and 3 cars later and I still find I'm learning every day. I get the feeling that it will never stop.

Bailes.

I do get fed up with my usuall commute. But I like going places in different cars.
For instance I got my Dad's T5 to go pick my Uncle up from Heathrow straight after work on Thursday. CANNOT WAIT :cheesy:

Your right gaz, there is some restrictions with company car insurance, (atleast some do anyway)
its always best to ask and check ,

one of the company rules ihad when iwas a white van man iwasnt allowed to drive the van at weekends and after 6pm, (curfew)
if stopped iwouid of lost my job and ended up with hefty fine + points,

if the van got damaged they took £150 out of my wage,

you can drive other peoples cars on your own insurance as long as your fully comp,
but that lowers you to third party only , big risk as if out happens the car repair cost or loss will come out of your own pocket, well thats what my insurer told me anyway, one of the reasons igot a traders policy

iirc there is another clause with passengers, on company insurance,
ithink some companys wont cover passengers unless there company workers and the accident if any accurs within the buisness hours on the policy,

I am insured. Dont worry I have read the fleet management policy around 10 times. Ive also been stopped in the T5 with no issue. Just show my signed drivers decleration form and away I go!

Main thing is you've kept out of trouble, keep up the good work!

I've just had a little recap and I've been driving 24 years and have had 13 cars :? (had about 3 work vans in there somewhere too) lozz's motor's sound more like an auction turnover

Driving 2 years tomorrow!
It's about time you took a break then! Badoom tish :cheesy:

I've been driving for (what age did I pass my test? was it 17? In which case) nigh on 30 years. More than that if you count moving cars around on our driveway (what's that lump? Oh sh?t, I'm on the flower bed  ) and I've had too many cars to remember. I don't really enjoy driving much here as I feel like I'm in constant mortal danger from all the idiots.

Bought it as a project but soon realised that the work needed was far beyond my ability and wallet, so I punted it straight on (and made a tidy little profit!) :supafrisk:

That needs a roll bar, that does - and the A-pillars need to be properly reinforced - if you end up upside-down, your necks won't stand much of a chance :(
