well, that's what it said on the display when I got in the other day, so where did that come from ? all I've done lately is change the battery so had to re-set the time etc.
Just to add to this, I've had a couple of fault codes come up on odd occasions one said ECU Fault and beeped, then just disapeared and didn't return. Last week when I got in the car and tried to start it, it said the same, so turned igniotn off and on again and it's been alright since. One day though it beeped and said 'stop engine' then that went off and not come back. Anyone know of somebody local to me in Wolves can check ECU or whatever for me or offer advice ?
I also notice that the MPH quoted for others with a 90bhp is far in excess of what I get. On average I get 35mpg. Short runs lately with cold start less than 30mpg and on motorway at 70mph around 45mpg. Is this about right ?

Re: Economy mode selected
Economy mode it a normal function of the car.
The BSi unit shuts down certain circuits if they've been left on for a while, I don't know whether it monitors battery voltage or just the length of time. If you were parked up listening to the stereo then it would turn itself off after a while to save the battery.
The other faults you describe may be linked to you changing the battery, maybe it's a duff battery? not enough power? was there any unusual sparks/shorting when you changed it?

the faults all occured before I changed the battery so you may have a point. too clever by far these Pugs eh. thanks for the tip all I need to do now is find a way of fixing the remote function and sort the radio out. apart from that I'm well pleased with the car. any ideas on fuel consuption ? normal or poor ?

Economy mode comes in 30 minutes after key turned to position 1.
Radio cuts. Leccy windows and ciggy lighter still powered.
Have to start engine to switch back to normal.

Fuel economy between a cold engine and a hot engine is massive!
Sat at 30mph, around 1900rpm in 3rd gear. Cold engine is about 26/27mpg? Hot engine is 45mpg.
My trip computer usually drops about 2mpg every morning between my house and the motorway. Then goes back up once the engine is toasty.

did 50 mile run today on A roads and got 46mpg doing 50 to 60 mph, first 5 miles anywhere I get around 30mpg in town, also Wolves has more traffic lights per sq mile than anywhere else in the country, av speed tends to be 11mph in town. I'm happy enough with it just wondered how some folk get such good MPG ? I don't like to hang around but I'm no boy racer, I've got another car for that he he
Re: Economy mode selected
hi ya mate if you want traffic lights .. you should try brighton ..your lucky if you get upto 5mph and if you stay still long enough you get a ticket
