Welly, you're a nutter!
Lozz, I believe that the Rebels are the import version of the EOS digital slr range, I doubt you'll get one of them for £200. The entry level EOS is the 1000D, google's showing them starting at less than £300 but beware of import sites, you can get a hell of a bargain on the price but you can get stung for taxes, and their warranties are usually full of holes.
I was thinking of night vision in terms of infra-red or something, I've got a camcorder that has that, (think Blair Witch Project) but I haven't seen many stills cameras with it because, of course, cameras usually have a flash. Thinking about it though if you get a camera that can allow you fully manual controls you can get some awesome photos in the dark, take a look at this for example...
That's Ponsticill reservoir in total darkness, it was cloudy too so there's no moonlight, the only light source was the lights of the town a few miles away being reflected back off the clouds, hence the yellowness of it. I took the photo by placing the camera on a tripod and setting it to the highest ISO setting and the widest apperture, then locking the shutter open and going to sit back in the car (cos it was bloody freezing!), that's a 3 minute exposure.
So what kind of things are you going to photograph on your hunting trips, cos if it moves this technique obviously won't work?
