Anyone else noticed this,

Tescos club card points, i spent a shed load of money on shopping and other junk for the kids,
paid and checked the points,

then ithought erm grab some easta eggs while im here , grabbed aload, paid for them, exact same points as ihad before,
on the way out fuel up at tescos pumps, same again feck all points ,

scam or what

The points update every 24 hours.
so if you had 150points and you earnt 50 points they would not show until the next day.

I have stopped using the clubcard. When I passed they were offering 1point for every pound. Then 1point for every litre and now it's 1 point for every £2 you spend in the petrol station.

Shell up the road is constantly 1p cheaper, you get 1point per litre and the fuel goes much much futher!

I use Sainsburys nectar card as i put approx £180 diesel in a week so use bp or sains for that but i reckon some of the cashiers nab the points themselves,they swipe the card so quick i'm sure it doesn't register and when i leave they swipe there own cos at the end of the year i don't seem to have the points i should,my mate at work used to do the shell points and he had a shed load saved up and all of a sudden they had been "redeemed",obviuosly some get at a garage had nabbed em.

Tescos fuel is bad for ur car anyway everyone on the tdoc website say it and they say use shell or bp

always ask for a points receipt then you know you got the points.

i dont shop at tesco's so dont have the problem. we use morrisons cos its on our estate

Never used to bother with clubpoints, then finally applied in store for a card in 2010. Was given a cardboard temporary substitute. 'It'll be in the post'....

After some weeks, I was moved to enquire about the hold-up, 'up to 3 months backlog, sir', I was informed.

I'm still waiting.

Clubcard points are a great way of Tesco monitoring their customers without privacy concerns.

Biggest thieves are Subway. I had enough subway points to get a free sandwich, then next time I tried it they changed the format of their card and wouldn't accept my points for the sandwich!
Then the new card wouldn't accept my address and stopped working. I gave up (and have gotten sick of subway corporate sarnies).

I buy, erm, quite a lot of Tesco Momentum Super and 'bits' of shopping and I regularly get money off vouchers like £4.50, £5.00 etc. probably once a month, they just drop through the post.

I've got a Tesco credit card and I should buy the petrol on that (for extra pointage) and pay it back when the bill comes but that would be a plan doomed to fail - having money 'left over' in the current account at the end of the month is like a free shopping pass to my Wifely person

The purpose of the Clubcard is to gather data on you so that they can run targetted marketing programmes.

I once went to a computer science seminar where the research was essentially to 'cluster' the customers into different types depending on the contents of their baskets. They were working with Tesco and had the Clubcard data set. They then classified stores into different types according to what types of baskets there were. One of the surprise results was that a new large Extra store sold a lot of 'ready made sandwith and packet of crisps and a drink' type baskets -- turned out that the store was on a business park that had a lot of offices within walking distance so everyone was going there for their dinner (or lunch as I believe you call it in the south).

Its not the first time ive noticed the points not adding on,

also if you look at some of the deals there doing instore there not much of a deal, its just an Enticement to get you to buy something
and you wont save a penny,

im not a scrooge but its nice to get a few quid back especialy if you spend a fortune every month in one store,
iwont be buying anything from there again, Asdas or morrisons it will be,

Thing that annoys me is when on the reduced aisle they have items going out of date, sometimes the reduced price is more than the original price!
Either:
- The item is on special offer but the original price that the reduced price was calculated from was more
- They take the original price to be a different product (I've seen this on crisps in the spar, reduced on their own brand 6 pack which should be 99p, reduced from £2.98 to £1.50, which is the price of the 18 pack Walkers pack!)

The reduced isle makes me laugh,

its like a carboot sale, looking at them all going through the 50p bargain boxes

inormaly have anosey through the bargain isle for Meat for my dogs, but theres more chance of winning the lottery, its abit like a chicken running through ethiopia, 1000s taking abite while its running

In this economy the ethiopians have more chance of affording it!!!
