406 tow bar cage nuts

hi i bought a tow bar off fleabay but it didnt come with the cage nuts. ive emailed the seller & got no reply so im stuck would any1 have 6 going spare to sell. p.s the dealers will only sell tow bar with cage nuts :x :x :x

have you looked into how you are going to get the nuts in place?

This is a common thing! I found it out same way as you! What i did, and worked fine was to guess roughly where the nuts would be and then drilled up into the chasis rail so i could poke nuts up and tighten up, 8) undersealed then put rubber gromets over drilled holes. Job done.

i am trying to avoid drilling but if i have no luck then the drill will be coming out to play

Search for cage nuts on the net there are a few firms that sell them .If Iremember rightly there was no need to drill to get any of the nuts in :) two of them at the rear of the car are already there as captive nuts

For bolts etc igo to a iron mongers, (Rothwell's)

last time ifitted atow bar igot all the bolts etc for well under £3.50
