Although 'needs slight attention for MOT' and 'sold as seen' probably means it's completely f**ked

Here is another more reasonably priced 405 or is it a tractor trailer?:

I wouldn't trust the mileage of the red one, my cousin said they are a really easy car to clock the miles back on.
405s always seem to come in red or that dark blue. I am a fan of them in the dark blue though.

Yep, reading that as per Gumtree rules, needs an engine transplant, all bushes are knackered, brakes shot, electrics burnt out.

However, at that price it would almost be worth it for the leather interior and, if a total shed, scrap/parts.

Another ruined 405

http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-moto ... m/96350877

How does he see anything out of his windscreen other than "DYNOMAX I LIEK DYNOMAX LOLZ!!!!!!!!11111111111" and how did that get through an MOT?????

And when I was selling my 406 with the door rust / badly matching touchup paint, why didn't I use the gumtree school of photography?

The armagh 406 is the cleanest about, from the limited photo there is muck at the bottom right of the bumper, even so £410 for a 406 isn't expensive for a parts car if it actually was in good condition.

The 306 saloon, another not all the other makes prat, gumtree should limit the title to 20 characters or have cars selected through a drop down list at the moment its just not possible to search it anymore. The sideways numberplate in the windscreen, i have seen it done before whats that about?

now for something completely different:

Oooh, a Austin 1100 with a 1275gt engine and fancy grille :cheesy: Looks good in the pics but the list of spare panels says it's falling to bits in the traditional manner

Yep to be fair I've seen absolute dogs (including the one I bought...) in for £1400-£1500. High miles, poor bodywork and mid spec.
A quality Exec with all the toys, leather, great bodywork, low mileage, FSH for a few hundred quid more isn't too bad. (And year 2000 I assume theres no bloody Com2000?) Though I would still knock them down.

Mind you, it isn't far off 407 money.

Was going through Autotrader website earlier in my search for the next W4UEJ & found what I reckon must be a contender for sales picture of the year. It's a 2.2 C8 & it does look rather nice with the leather captains chairs & all, but have a close look at the MFD in picture 6 of 9:

& just so that we can all still enjoy it when the ad has been removed from Autotrader:

looks alright from the outside,

not a fan of the interior, looks like a Renault espace X multipla Bleau
what where they thinking when they desighned them, piccasso interior looks very stylish compared to that, and thats scraping the bottom of the pan,

Watch out for this one boys & girls.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2001-PEUGEOT- ... 3f1510c19f
I'm 99% certian it's one I almost bought in July/Aug 2008
Put a deposit on it, but the clutch failed before I collected it.
It was cheap, (£1650 IIRC), drove beautifully, but the mileage recorder was displaying 273,000 or thereabouts!
It had a pretty full history which confirmed the clocks had gone loopy & put on 150000+ miles in 2 months, spoke to the previous owner, garage that serviced it for him, it all checked out. Was going to take it anyway, but the clutch meant the dealer was losing money on it & I feared a corner-cutting repair......last straw, I walked away.

Now I could be wrong, but it's the same model, colour, and has at least 6 of the characters in the reg, matching.
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)
