Hi i have a 2.1 TD and i am debating weather to sell it or to brake it for parts any and every comment is valued thanks

I just brought a 2.1 but been looking for a good few weeks and they seem to fly out on eBay even with no mot or tax average bout 500 upwards all depends on condition might be worth sticking it on eBay and see how it goes u can always end the auction if it ent making enough

What's wrong with it? Or do you just think it'll be worth more in bits?

you will get more selling it whole and its a lot less hassel as when you have it stuck on the drive you still have to get rid of whats left.
and how to you expect to sell it if you dont post your location in your sig?
come on mods get it sorted no location no for sale post.

i wasnt advertising my car for sale i was asking advise on what i should do. and nothing wrong with it really just been standing a while it has no tax and there is a oil leak between the engine and gearbox i havent had time to have a look at it yet.

If you like the car tax it and put it back on the road,

is there Mot on it ?
if not theres the place to start, book it in see what it fails on, if too much work needed, cut your losses and sell or break,

There is mot on it and it would cost to much for the insurance even tho i would love to get it on the road as it is a lovely car. I will put pictures on tomorrow hopefully

Ah, sorry to hear that,
insurance on the 406s is abit too expensive for me too, one of the reasons ididnt buy another one,
and if ido it will be alate model one, within the cheap tax bracket,


So what Happend. did you buy the car first before getting a Quote ..and then got shocked by the insurance prices ?
