is it different for 2.0 hdi the service book recommends 10/40 semi synth at 12000mile intervals

thanks for the replies, i'll be going with opie oils which recommends 5w40 synthetic, but a lot of hdi drivers use 10w40 part synthetic so I don't know what one to use some i'm still not 100% sorted, like the sound of the discount code though.
2.2 hdi gtx estate 51 plate.

lidl at the moment 10w/40 - £9.99 for 5L - could be absolute cack but with a frequent change it may be better than super-douper stuff doing 12,000m?

iwill try and dig out the code ,
its on my other pc somewhere, The code ( Engine oil ) used to work idont know if it still does tho,
or just Register your self as a member of a forum with them and they shouid provide you with a discount code, iirc it was 15 or 20 % off


speaking of discount codes, ithink we shouid have a section on the forum for this,
might save us all a few quid, only takes a few emails to companys,

i got a 2.2hdi and im sure it says use 5w 40 only... same was my 2.0 306 hdi...

i tend to use the halfords stuff as i got a trade card with them and as said before its 5L so only need the one lot!

been in halfords today and if you buy the oil you get a free set of there screwdrives that are worth about a tenner
