Hello can anyone tell me how to find out what gearbox I need for my peugeot T reg 406 LX TD? (My reg doc says LS TD but I presume they ve just got it wrong!!)
The car is diesel and currently has a petrol gearbox so i can t just check the one thats in it. Any ideas?

Hi I ve got a potential gearbox out of a HDI, just not sure if its the right one. Do you know which one fits the LXTD. or know anything about 406 gearboc=xes and the different types? Any adv ice much appreciated. If this is nt the right one I ll get back to you too!

I don't think the hdi box will fit the older engine not 100% sure tho never known anyone to try to fit one I no the 1.9 and 2.1 are the same apart from the gear selectee one is cable one is bars

Hdi one is no good on d8,
its hydraulic clutch not cable,
it wouid most probs bolt in place tho, hdi and xud is same block so ive read,

if there anything like citroen (petrol) gearbox's there a weak box crap,
