OK. First up, please don't use all-capital letters, as it makes your posts a bit of a pain to read, to be honest.
Secondly, welcome to the club.
And thirdly, your 406 already has remote central locking; all of them did. My own old V-reg saloon with LX trim had it factory-fitted, so your slightly-newer W-reg LX will definitely have it.
If you've only got one key with your car, and it doesn't have the remote locking buttons on it, then you've only got the Valet's Key, the "dumb" blade-only key that you're meant to keep as a spare. You can buy a replacement key through your local Peugeot dealer, but this will cost you £££. The alternative (not sure if this works or not) is to buy a key from eBay, put a copy of your key's blade in it, and then program it to your car's transponder. Not 100% sure how that is done though.

I thought a used 406 keyfob from ebay would be ok. If its the same type/size with the buttons you should be able to swap the insides over. You should be able to fit your keyblade to it as well. I'm guessing you'll need the 4 digit key code too. I am kind of guessing though, was considering doing this myself as both my keyfobs are battered with broken buttons!

Bezbear's car is a D9; the keypad immobilizer is a thing that belonged to the D8 only.

yes sorry for the caps, as i said i know i got remote locking and i can get a key from dealer for £150 just wanted to know what best and easiest aftermarket kit to buy as in the one with least connections that fits my car as this seems cheaper option thanks
its listed for citroen, but ignore that, the kits are universal anyway,
just email seller for a wiring diagram, hardest bit is working out the Trigger wires,
The kits run on 6 wires, but if you dont want flashing lights and all that, you can just go with 2 wires, so not much wiring involved,
you wouid have to remove drivers door card tho,
