Re: DMF
110's have an intercooler, (to the right of the radiator, looking at the front of the car), 90's don't have an intercooler, (or a DMF).
Assuming it's a 110, It's likely, (but not certain) to have a DMF. Most do, but some of the early examples didn't. It's also possible someone has already converted it to solid flywheel.....
Your best bet is to establish availability for either option before stripping it down.

Re: DMF
Unless it's slipping badly (and all the time) you have got plenty of time to get something sorted if you like the car in general - and it'll give you bargaining power in the deal.
Mine used to slip when the engine/trans got hot (after an hour or so) where it would 'blip' on the rev counter under load (approx 2000 rpm) and then catch up with itself.
A solid conversion is probably the most reliable and cheapest option but also check and replace the main engine mounts for best performance.

Maybe someone could check on servicebox if we had your vin

It *should* be up to chassis VF38?RH??8080000 is a solid flywheel, after that is a DMF. I'm also wondering about the RHS/RHZ thing, how does this compare to yours?

Re: DMF
Not abad price that mate,
iweighed one in and got £350 for it so at £375 bargain,
even if it does have Dmf, id just change the plate, theres not much mention of Dmfs failing on pugs,
ive not seen one with a failed dmf, unlike ford etc, there prone,

Re: DMF
Hi all. Picked car up earlier. Drives really nice for 148k. Steering, box, feel good.Good engine,no smoke, starts nice. Quiet too,and smooth. Bloody nice car actually. Clutch is slipping tho,but it got me home. Used just over £20 diesel to cover 150mls..not bad eh considering clutch slip.My dad had the petrol estate on a Y,says it was one of the nicest cars he'd owned. Anyway, got the vin..vf38erhze80727994. Hope one of you can tell what flywheel?? Cheers.
