PP2000?

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

They look all the same, but some have different hardware, specially the german made ones, these can have the updated firmware on them, meaning that you can use updated PP2000/Diagbox softwares ... chinese can't ...

BSI knew when I pressed the brake but not the clutch.
Which is even more confusing considering both me and Rich have the same issue where we gently lean our foot on the clutch and the car starts to accelerate (Both HDi90 Siemens).

I wanted to find the Throttle position sensor % but couldn't find it on the BSI or ECU 'paremeter measurements'.

Also every time I tried to get into the BSI settings I got the message "No communication acvtivation in progress"

Just wondering, if I was to get another key cut and made up, can I code everything with PP2000? Or do I need that bloody card with the code on it?
Here's an old pic of mine from one of Farmer Pug's posts.....

Not desperately clear, but you can see the TPS % & both brake pedal switches, (in this pic the pedal's part pressed & one's on without the other). I think this was acccessed from engine ecu \ parameter measurements \ driving information, IIRC. Info presentation on a Siemens ecu may be different.

You might not need the 4-digit pin to code a new key, but if it's not feeling co-operative, you will need it.

I got mine, FOC off the Digital Kaos website, sign up & look for a post called 'Peugeot Vin to Pin' or similar, post your VIN & someone replies within 24h with your PIN. 8) Makes sense to get it before you need it.

My car has me all multiplexed

It seems then that you cannot retrofit cruise to a HDi90 (siemens).

I have CC turned on on the ECU and BSI
I have turned on the Clutch Contact switch (Although there is no clutch switch fitted it just thinks the clutch is contantly up).

And no banana...

It's annoying because 207's get prewired and 307 HDi90's with Siemens ECU's are also prewired.

Looking at a 407 Coupe in September I think.

I'm not sure, because BSI knows when the pedal is pressed?

On the Bosch ones, CC won't work unless it can 'see' both switches operating at different times, in sequence. (They're set so as you press the pedal the 'redundant' [CC] switch closes first, but releases last as you let go of the brakes).

One brake switch, but there is a switch on the clutch which is even more confusing.

Clutch switch is to cut down injetion of fuel even if car is not fitted with cruise ...and also if it is fitted with cruise it will shut down cruise, now i think that the hdi90 didn't support cruise, and that can be seen with the second brake switch not in place ... or depending on the line of production, because my friend's august 2000 406 110 bhp don't have any prewires installed, and mine that is from may 2000, had all the extras pre installed the only big difference mine from is, is that mine have automatic sunroof and he's don't.

Currently i have mine with cruise retroffited all i needed was buying and changing ecu with different software(mine didn't have extra features) and buying button and stalk. ( this is pre multiplex cars ).

Hope you can sort it out.
