Engine oil
Before i go to my lmf for some prices on parts for jobs i need to do can someone give me advice on what oil to use? i have a feeling he's going to offer me their bog standard make but what does everyone else use i dont want to go putting any old crap in it.

10W/40 Semi-Synthetic will be spot on for Diesel or Petrol 406's.
Comma oil is good, along with the named brands like Castrol etc.
My favorite oil is Fuchs/Silkolene XTR 10W/40 but it's tricky to get hold of locally.
I wouldn't worry too much about the make of oil to be honest, most stuff offered in the trade will be fine (like Comma oil etc).

Regular oil changes, even if you cant get your favourite brand.

Just been down there now because i was passing he had ac delco and Vauxhall on the shelf semi synth £34 for oil, oil filter, air filter and fuel filter... i also need a new mid section exhaust he priced me £20 for a fix peice or £58 for the whole section will have to see how good my silencer is before deciding which one to get.Welly wrote:10W/40 Semi-Synthetic will be spot on for Diesel or Petrol 406's.
